This class will help you get there. Professional English proficiency: Your ability to communicate in English will improve in person, over the phone, and online. You will learn how to identify and craft a powerful personal introduction during this five-week course. You will improve your speaking abilities for group discussions and demonstrate them: how to clarify, restate, and summarize, whether you agree or disagree. How to give information and respond to phone requests will be reviewed and practiced. You will research and practice conducting effective interviews. You’ll prepare and deliver a “pitch” to sell a product or service. You will change how you speak English throughout the course, improving your speaking accuracy and fluency. You will act and speak in a way that is culturally acceptable. As you work through the course, you will finish self-and friend assessments. You will acquire the abilities and self-assurance necessary to communicate effectively in English anywhere in the world through a combination of lectures, comprehension and vocabulary tests, practice, and performance.
